Back in GHOST boot disks for HP dc7700 (II) I had the copies of the IMG file hosted up on Streamload/MediaMax.
( For details on how to use the IMG files, read the GHOST boot disks for HP dc7700 (II) post)
I have been having an ever increasing number of faults with these files
There have been a delays with new files appearing, hosted files disappearing, and other joy … you can check on the MediaMax issues on their blogs http://blog.streamload.com/
So that this pain will ‘go away’ I have put some zipped copies of the IMG files up on MediaFire [Tags: ghost dc7700 visibleprocrastinations]. Unpack the zip files to get access to the IMG file.
- dc7700-dhcp-1.zip (@MediaFire)
- dc7700-dhcp-2.zip (@MediaFire)
You will need to put a copy of ghost.exe into disk2 (a:\ghost\ghost.exe)

A problem with disk2 has now been fixed with a new upload.
I don’t want to complain but there are still problems with the download of file nr. 2.
Maybe you can “re-upload” it once more?
Thanks in advance,
Greetings from Germany
Any way I can get both disks on 1 usb drive?
which version of ghost.exe should I use? would version 8.3 work?
Ghost 8.3 should be ok, the version of Ghost.exe should at least match the version of Ghost Server you are using.
@Ramon
Using a combination of the details from these two links below you can build yourself a bootable Ghost USB key;
HP Drive Key Boot Utility
How to Create a Ghost 8.0 Network Boot CD
I’ll try to get a how-to post together with details on making the bootable Ghost USB key.
@steven
Version 8.3 is the main one that I currently use, it works well.
@Ramon
Have a look at Build yourself a bootable Ghost USB key to see if takes you through the process. I have used a less complex solution than the method I pointed you to above.
cheers
I want to image Hp laptop which have sata drive ,but unable to detect the local drive during the ghost32 running mode.
Would very much like to download dc7700-dhcp-2 but can’t get to it. Any more updates???
@sheshe
Looks like the MediaFire server that file is hosted on is having some trouble, if you give it a while it normally comes good (in my experience). If it’s not back by tonight I’ll upload a new copy.
cheers
thank you-it downloaded today
