With the start of the Tour looming ever closer my SBS reception was still stuffed, with no time to to get a new antennae in place things were looking bad
Luckily my ‘cunning second plan’ was put into play and 1 x DGTEC DG-8710 set top box was put into play with extremely positive results. The reception was actually so good it was time to increase the options … 1 x Pioneer DVR-645H-S later and we can also record (to recap the bit where we manage to nod off during the course of the evening).
Now all we need for this year is to have the Google Maps live tracking back in action.

STAGE 1: Robbie McEwen – Legend!
The man with the cloak of invisibility does it again, from crashing and damaging his right wrist, being at the rear of the peleton with 10km to go to blitzing the sprint from back in 15th place.
from the Tour de France YouTube Channel
The man off the back is going to win! Robbie McEwan the man from nowhere, welcome home! Unbelievable! I don’t know Paul, how on earth did that happen? – Phil Liggett commentary
Versus footage of last 1km McEwen had crashed with less than 25km to go but found the energy to reach the front and, in the final 80 meters, moved into the lead and won easily ahead of Boonen, Hushovd et al.
