I’ve just upgraded from mIRC v6.13 to mIRC v6.3, and mIRC v6.3 ate my popups! Or so it appeared; a little further investigation shows that mIRC now runs with user based settings separating the configs between machine user accounts. Yes it’s Jamboree On The Internet (JOTI) time again, and I’m refreshing my software.
eg 1. C:\mIRC\popups.ini is now in C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\mIRC\scripts\popups.ini
eg 2. C:\mIRC\servers.ini is now in C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\mIRC\sservers.ini
So if it used to live in C:\mIRC\ have a look in C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\mIRC\ and copy in your old file from C:\mIRC\.
