Google Lively

Google’s answer to Second Life comes in the form of Lively.

Lively by Google is a new product available in Google Labs. Create an avatar and chat with your friends in rooms you design.

.. If you enter a Lively room embedded on your favorite blog or website, you can immediately get a sense of the room creator’s interests, just by looking at the furniture and environment they chose. You can also express your own personality by customizing your avatar’s look, showing people who you are without having to say a word. Of course, you can chat with each other, and you can also interact through animated actions. In our user research, we’ve been amazed at how much more poignant it is to receive an animated hug than seeing the text “[[hug]]”. … [1]

  • To use Lively, you need a Google Account.
  • Lively requires Windows Vista/XP with Internet Explorer or Firefox
  • You may not use the Services if you are under the age of 13.

Cadel Evans (Silence – Lotto) showed signs of firing up today, after puncturing and being back in the cars he pushed a motorcycle gendarme out of the way when his path was blocked on the ride back to the peleton. There were no dramas as his team had dropped back to wait and covered his return.
