Via ABC we get a bit more of the story;
Piepoli, Ricco sacked over doping
Italians Leonardo Piepoli and Riccardo Ricco have been kicked out of the Saunier Duval cycling team on doping grounds, the team said on Friday.
“(Team manager) Mauro Gianetti has lost faith in them and he decided to fire them from the team,” said David Garcia, a spokesman for Saunier Duval.
It was announced on Thursday that Ricco tested positive for the blood-boosting drug EPO on the fourth stage of this year’s Tour de France. Piepoli and the rest of the team were subsequently withdrawn.
“(Gianetti) did a personal investigation and consequently lost faith in Ricco but also in Piepoli because of a violation of the team’s ethics code,” Saunier Duval said in a statement.
“As a result, Mauro Gianetti immediately fired these two riders.”

9km – OUCH!! Gerolsteiner rider Sven Krauss hit a road sign in the middle of the street and flipped over! His bike has split in half!! That has to hurt. — eurosport
Results:
7:38 – Cavendish Can’t Be Beaten!
Robbie McEwen went head-to-head with Mark Cavendish in the finale but the Australian couldn’t get near the rider from the Isle of Man who, again, won by several bike lengths after a perfectly executed sprint.
17:37 – Cavendish Again!
Cavendish is making this sprinting game look easy. He was blocked in the middle of the bunch with 500m to go but when he opened it up, there was no one who could get close. Stage win number four for the Columbia rider!
