NPR Top-100 Science Fiction, Fantasy Titles (2011)

Last month we asked you, our audience, to nominate titles for a top-100 list of the best science fiction and fantasy ever written. The response was overwhelming — almost 5,000 of you posted to the NPR site alone, and many thousands more offered suggestions on Facebook. [1]

Although the Top 100 will be an interesting list, the complete list of 237 gives us a fair range of reading to sort through for something new or different.

Patch Tuesday Wednesday (AUG-2011)

This month Microsoft have released thirteen (13) security bulletins One (1) of these security bulletins two (2) are rated Critical, nine (9) are rated Important and two (2) are rated Moderate.

As I previously mentioned in the Advance Notification Service blog post on Thursday, today we are releasing 13 security bulletins, two of which are rated Critical in severity, nine Important and two Moderate.
These bulletins will increase protection by addressing 22 unique vulnerabilities in Microsoft products. Customers should plan to install all of these updates as soon as possible. For those who must prioritize deployment, we recommend focusing first on the two critical updates … [1]
