This weeks links (2013-07-08)

In brief:

* App Store ‘full of zombies’ as it celebrates fifth birthday (2013-Jul-09) [BBC]
Apple’s App Store is populated by many “zombie” programs which get next-to-no downloads, new research suggests.

* Boat debate not so simple (2013-Jul-08) [The Monthly]
Suddenly the asylum seeker debate is not quite so simple. The Indonesian President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, has made it clear even to the most stubborn voter in the front bars of the western Sydney pubs that Tony Abbott does not have the answer. His three word slogan “Stop the Boats!” now simply invites the retort “How?” because the solution of turning them back is no longer on the table.

Cycling:

* Tour de France 2013 // 2013 Tour de France (100th edition)

* OGERocks- AC/DC Tribute

Some reading/listening:

* BBC4 Book at Bedtime has Neil Gaiman’s ‘The Ocean at the End of the Lane’ in 5 parts this week.
PART 1 | PART 2 | PART 3 | PART 4 | PART 5
