Tour de France 2013 – Stage 15

STAGE 15 Sunday, July 14th, Givors > Mont-Ventoux (243km)

Stage15

The longest stage of Le Tour 2013 – imagine riding the ‘around the bay’ loop and then adding a 20km climb up Mont Ventoux – produced the expected fireworks. Chris Froome stamped his dominance on this years race with Nairo Quintana showing the future of the sport. Today’s drama was Sky picking up musettes with 10km to ride; expect that this will be pinged as a technical foul with a fine similar to the ‘stick biddon’ penalty. (or not)

One of the highlights of the stage was Peter Sagan pulling a wheelie as he was caught by the peloton before the climb on Mont Ventoux.
