vuelta2014 Aug 23 – Sep 14, 2014
The 2014 Vuelta a España is scheduled to take place between 23 August to 14 September 2014 and will be the 69th edition of the race. It will feature eight mountain stages, five hill stages, five flat stages, and three time trials (one team and two individual), two of which will appear at the beginning and end of the race. Jerez de la Frontera, on the Spanish south coast, will host the opening stage. The Vuelta will then arc counterclockwise, through the south-east and east of the country before crossing the north and finishing in Santiago de Compostela, the first time in 21 years that the race has finished outside Madrid.
