Event: Rosebud Australia Day Fun Run
Date: Tuesday the 26th Juanuary 2016
Location: Dromana to Rosebud.
Organised by: ausdayfunrun / Organised by volunteers from local sporting and community groups
The Rosebud Australia Day Fun Run is a fixture on the family calendar and we try to get to the run if we are in the state.
Starting at the Visitor Information Centre in Dromana (yes the same start point as Two Bays) the 5.3km course follows Point Nepean Road south around Anthony’s Nose, drops back onto the foreshore bay trail through the beach camping ground at approx 2km to 4km where it moves to some boardwalk and then some beach front path to finish at the Village Green in Rosebud coinciding with the Australia Day festivities.
This is not the event to go for a PB unless you are at the front of the first wave. The waves are self selected and you will get walkers and slow runners even in the sub 20 minute wave; in the sub 30 minute wave you will be tripping over walkers the whole way as it gets congested on some of the paths.
The big positive is that the funds from the Aus Day Fun Run support local sporting and community groups whose members volunteer their time each year to help organise this fantastic community event.
Time: 30:34 ( Time to run back to the start 25:36 )
