The Banff Mountain Film Festival is reaching new heights as it tours Australia in 2017. The world’s most prestigious mountain film festival is coming back to Australia: the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour presents over 2 1/2 hours of the most enthralling mountain adventure films that will have you on the edge of your seat.
Audiences will experience incredible highs and agonising lows through the lenses of some of the most accomplished climbers, paddlers, skiers, snowboarders, mountaineers, mountain bikers, explorers and adventure filmmakers alive today.

Each year more than 300 of the world’s best mountain sport, cultural, environmental, adventure and exploration films are shown during the week-long Banff Mountain Film Festival in the Canadian Rockies.
The annual competition attracts entries for all over the globe.
A highlight of the most recent festival was a collection of incredible inspirational running films. So in 2017 we bring you the special running edit: BANFF MOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL – RUN PROGRAM.
Featuring 4 running films, the program is packed full of highs, lows, summits, sweat, tears, injury and elation.
Find your pack, grab your CLIF shots and join us at the limited BANFF MOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL – RUN PROGRAM screenings.
Running groups, lycra and sweat all welcome.


FIFTY (30 mins): Follow one man’s bold attempt to run 50 mountain marathons over 50 peaks in just 50 days, around the spectacular landscapes New Zealand, in order to raise money for the Mental Health Foundation.
MIRA (42 mins): Growing up in a remote mountain village in Nepal, Mira always dreamed of being successful in sport despite all the challenges that she and other Nepali girls face, which has prepared her perfectly for the sport of running.
