❝Ever wondered how high you climb in a year of walking/running?
Make 2017 the year you find out.❞
#wheresyoureverest ‪#‎everestanywhere‬

Whenever you walk or run in the hills you clock up metres of ascent – the vertical distance you cover during your journey on foot. This year Trail and top gear brand Marmot are challenging you to see if you can accumulate an ascent that matches the height of Everest 8,848m.

Having managed the 8,848m by early April, it was worth looking at an accumulative total across the peaks listed in the challenge.

I’m measuring my elevation using Strava (Profile > Activity graph : Elevation : Monthly) which currently is showing me at an accumulative total of 13,696m. This is the equivalent of climbing Mont Blanc + Kilimanjaro + about half way up Denali. It looks like I need some more months with 3,500m to 4,000+m to hit the 41,333m by the end of the year
