Having just journeyed from Bag End to Rivendell using Eowyn Challenge’s The Walk to Rivendell and Beyond, it is time to move into the ‘beyond’.
Continuing the journey by setting out with the Fellowship from Rivendell to Lothlórien.
❝ Frodo glanced at all the faces, but they were not turned to him. All the Council sat with downcast eyes, as if in deep thought. A great dread fell on him, as if he was awaiting the pronouncement of some doom that he had long foreseen and vainly hoped might after all never be spoken. An overwhelming longing to rest and remain at peace by Bilbo’s side in Rivendell filled all his heart. At last with an effort he spoke, and wondered to hear his own words, as if some other will was using his small voice.
‘I will take the Ring,’ he said, ‘though I do not know the way.’ ❞
— The Fellowship of the Ring, LoTR Book 2, Ch 2, The Council of Elrond
On the Eowyn’s Challenge page, it says “Walk, run, hike, bike, blade, swim – if you can measure the distance, you can do this challenge. Keep a log, and record your daily or weekly miles and the type of exercise.“. Below is my log, I am only using walk, run and hike for this leg. We may see some watercraft in the future to match the journey style used by the Fellowship of the Ring.
